Hi all,
Sorry for the delay in getting this posted to the blog. I was away and only now have access to the internet to get this up for you.
For the singles planning:
1. Watch the match.
2. Choose one of the players and fill in the singles planner based on whoever you choose.
For the doubles planning:
1. Watch all the matches.
2. Assume that all of the players that you see are part of a team that you are responsible for. You will need to do your planning for them as a group.
I have no way to post the materials, so I will email the doubles planning example to all of you again. It was sent with the original email with the assignments.
Best,
Andy
Andy,
ReplyDeleteIn both planning documents there is a section titled 'Theme 1, 2, 3 and 4: Priorities'. Can you give us an example of what you are looking for here? How is it different from the priority of the lesson?

DeleteHi all,
DeleteThe themes should be the broad categories that you feel need work. For the singles match one of the themes would likely be "consistency", then you will need to decide what sub-categories you should prioritize and then list those. The priorities will be the action items that you will then develop during the lessons. The specific way you do that in each lesson might change, but these will be the milestones on which you will judge to see if you are making good progress with your students.
So just to be clear:
ReplyDeleteEach lesson has a theme and a priority fillable box for it. Below the lesson descriptions there are 4 theme boxes with three priorities each.
These are the same right? ie: They should have the same answers in each box?
That's mostly correct. There are 4 theme boxes. You may use as few or as many as you need. This will likely be between 2 to 4 themes based on the fact that you are planning for 10 lessons. Each of the fillable boxes for the individual lessons should be filled with your plan for that lesson. Those plans will generally conform to the theme you have laid out and will be designed to achieve the priorities that you have identified.
ReplyDeleteIn each of the theme boxes that you use you will fill in whatever priorities you feel will achieve your goals. You may have up to 3 priorities, but may also have less. Above each lesson box there is a space to list the theme that you are working on for that lesson. Fill that is so it is clear how you plan to progress to achieve your goals. Also, make sure it is clear which of the 2 players yuo watched you are planning for
